I love this site!
But, I would love it even more if it had a sort of directory sidebar, with the different categories like

Desserts
Main courses
Sides
Appetizers and snacks

Something like that? It would help tremendously when I'm in the mood for a certain thing! Just a suggestion!
Keep up the awesome work I love all the drawings and I can't wait to try out some recipes!

Hey vegan stoner, can you start including nutrition facts as well? Like calories and fat content and sodium? Please?

The Vegan Stoner said...

We try to reduce the fat and sodium content as much as we can in most of our guilty pleasure recipes.

Unfortunately, the nature of our blog makes it hard to include nutritional facts. We intend for people to substitute ingredients to their taste.

Try using an online calorie counter while cooking.

hey - long time vegan stoner follower here... one questions - when we bread these the breading gets clumpy and does not stick to onions after 5 or 6 dips... any suggestions? This also happened to me with the tufu english muffins..

The Vegan Stoner said...

Hi anonymous,

Try to gently rest them in the crumbs and keep to one dip each side. If the onions are too wet when you dip them in the flour mix it will cause clumping. Try to gently shake excess liquid before covering in your dry mix. Also try adding more flour and crumbs once the dry mix starts to get damp.

Some people prefer to double dip by dipping both side of the item in the dry mixture first, then the wet mixture, and finally back in the dry mixture.

Another way to bread the tofu english muffin is to dip the tofu in soy sauce and begin frying. Halfway through, sprinkle both sides with yeast before flipping over.

Hope this helps and happy breading.

have to try!!

hey these are pretty good ! Personally I wouldn't add any salt, or maybe very little, seeing how the breadcrumbs already have some. That being said, this is an awesome recipe.
