I made it! Came out really good! It's just crazy cause I own a cookbook (that'll remain nameless as not incite any vengeance and I do love the author) with a Rueben recipe and it's got so man ingredients, so many steps. This was quick easy and fun. Steaming the tempeh made it taste really good.

Why is the picture that holds the recipe so small now? Yesterday it was big and easy to read.

Tempeh with tighty-whities!

Hi, found you through a rave tweet. I love your drawings, they make me happy. I'm not vegan but am dairy free so will be trying some of your recipes.

I made this recipe and it's delicious! It's best with rye or pumpernickle bread-- just check the ingredients. I hit my tempeh with a bit of liquid smoke and added a touch of brown sugar to give it a sweet, smoky flavor. This paired perfectly with the spicy mayo mixture and the sour-kraut :)

vegan stoner,
why no coconut oil recipies?

The Vegan Stoner said...

Hi Anonymous,

We have not listed any coconut oil recipes on our blog because we try to list ingredients that most people can find easily.

We know there are benefits of different oils and suggest people substitute as they see fit. Generally, if you use coconut oil, olive oil, safflower oil, etc instead of margarine the recipes still apply.

I don't know if my last post went through but do you think avocado would be good with this?

The Vegan Stoner said...

Hi Dorothy!
Of course taste is subjective, but we think avocados would make a scrumptious addition, or replacement for something else listed.
