I love this recipe! I've made it a couple of times and each time it gets even better. Thanks for sharing this! And I must also add: I love the art you make for each recipe, so adorable!

I just tried this recently and enjoyed it, although I've been told Jackfruit tastes a bit like pork when cooked. I don't see how. I would have preferred a bit more instruction on how to cook the Jackfruit for this dish overall.

Thanks, Diana! We're so happy you liked it enough to make more than once.

Hi Robert!

Thanks for the comment. The jackfruit we've found easiest to find is brined in a can and pre-chopped into pieces. There's nothing to it except to drain the liquid and toss it in an oiled pan. It's super easy and can be seasoned any way you like. We definitely suggest you give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Cheers,

Yum! If only jackfruit was not super expensive where I live. TVS what would you swap for the jackfruit? Tempeh or tofu or something else entirely?

Thanks

Hi Pink Pony Monsters!

We think your ideas of tempeh and tofu would both work great. Seitan would also work. You could even replace it with your favorite veggies.

Let us know how it turns out if you make it!
